One of the greatest strengths of Texas Blazers is our alums. From Peace Corps to Harvard Law to Goldman Sachs, our alums move onto a wide range of fields with success after they leave the 40 Acres. They are a showcase for the quality of Texas Blazers members.

Alumni Dinner at Scholz's


Thank you to all the alumni who attended the first ever Frisbee Fling Alumni Dinner. The event held at Scholz’s was a big success and was attended by approximately 25 Blazers, including former and current members. Many of the alumni in attendance were generous supporters of this year’s Frisbee Fling, which raised nearly $5,000 for the Johnston High School Endowment. We look forward to continuing this event in the future and continuing to strengthen our relationship with our strong alumni base.

Hsiang Juan

Hsiang Juan (Blazer class of Fall '03) graduated from UT in the spring of 2005. During his tenure here, Hsiang was a Business Honors Program Peer Mentor, a member of the Mortar Board, and historian for the Texas Blazers. Hsiang helped put together the 2005 Frisbee Fling raising over $10,000 and helping pave the way for the Johnston Scholarship Fund.  He was heavily involved with Johnston mentoring and was part of the brotherhood that defines the Texas Blazers tradition.  After graduation, he spent two years working at Goldman Sachs in New York and Houston as an investment banking analyst in their energy practice.  Recently, he has moved back to Dallas to join Carlson Capital, a mutli-billion dollar hedge fund to help manage their energy investments.
