About the Tournament
The 11 th Annual Frisbee Fling Tournament was held by the
Blazers on April 10, 2011. All of the money and proceeds raised for the
event went toward the Eastside Memorial High School Scholarship Fund. The fund supports
several elected Eastside Memorial students in paying their college tuition. The tournament itself is played on the University campus, covering
nearly all of the Forty Acres. Some of the holes include the main mall, the LBJ lawn and Waller Creek.

Teams of 4 can enter for $15/person, and each team member gets a Frisbee, T-shirt,
and lunch for their participation and donation. Prizes are also given out for various skills competitions and for the team(s)
with the best scores.
The course takes about 90 minutes to play,
and tee (start) times run from 8am-5pm.
With our recently established Texas Blazers
Endowed Scholarship,
we hope to make FRISBEE FLING 2012 our best event yet as we attempt to reach a goal of $10,000
in contributions. With your help, we can make the college aspirations of many
seniors from Eastside Memorial
High School a reality.

1. What is Frisbee
Fling?
Frisbee Fling is a frisbee golf tournament on
the University of Texas campus put on by Texas
Blazers. The event is held every year and raises
money for the Eastside Memorial High School Scholarship
Fund, which is an underrpresented school at the
college level.
2. How much is
Frisbee Fling?
Frisbee Fling is $60 for a team of four
($15/person). All proceeds go towards the Texas
Blazers' Eastside Memorial High School Scholarship
Endowment Fund.
3. What is this
Endowment and scholarship program?
Since Frisbee Fling began in 2001, it has always
provided scholarships to Eastside Memorial High School
students to pursue college education. In
2007, the Texas Blazers donated $10,000 to UT
Austin to establish this endowed scholarship. Now that the endowment has reached $25,000, it provides
UT scholarships every year, forever,
to Eastside Memorial students. Funds from Frisbee Fling 2011 will continue to help provide scholarships for students.
4. What do I get
for playing?
Each participant will receive lunch, a frisbee,
and a t-shirt. Also, you have the chance to win
some great prizes such as giftcards from local
area businesses! Plus, you'll be helping
somebody from Eastside Memorial High School come to UT.
5. What is this
free team promotion?
All teams must pay when registering. However,
teams that sign up before 3/30 are eligible for
a drawing where one team will be reimbursed the
full $60.
6. What if I'm
not very good?
Anyone can play! There is a competitive and
noncompetitive league and everybody has a great
time! Plus, you're playing for charity!
