The Texas Blazers share a bond of camaraderie fostered through volunteerism and service.  This bond is strengthened through shared traditions and support of UT spirit and events.

Alumni Weekend
Each year, the current Blazer membership hosts a weekend of activities for Blazer alumni.  The weekend is centered around a home football game and barbecue.  Many alumni return to Austin each year to share their stories of success and connect with current members.  For more information, visit our Alumni page.

Hex Rally Card
To show support for the UT football team before the annual A&M game, the Blazers build an over-sized plywood "card" each year.  Students from across campus sign this good luck charm, and the finished product is presented to the football team at the Hex Rally.

OU Torchlight Parade
On the night when excitement runs high before the biggest game of the year, the Blazers march alongside other students in this annual UT tradition.

Membership Campout
Following each new member selection, all Blazers--old and new--meet at McKinney Falls campground for a day of fellowship and bonding.  At the end of the day, the Blazers return with a renewed understanding of each other and the organization.

Social Events
The Blazers engage directly with other campus organizations by holding joint barbecues, socials, and other events.

Intramural Athletics
The Blazers have a strong presence in Intramural sports, such as football, soccer, basketball, and softball.

The Texas Blazers is a member organization of the UT Spirit & Traditions Council, sponsored by the Texas Exes.
